This is a vintage View-Master "Previewer 8" movie viewer/editor.
It is a handheld, non-projecting device designed to view 8mm film.
It allowed users to preview their home movies "anywhere, anytime," as stated on the box.
The device uses a built-in light source to illuminate the film for viewing.
The View-Master brand was known for its stereoscopic viewers and projectors. The cord is damaged as shown in photos. It is untested and being sold in "As Is" condition.
